	abstract = {This text analyses the essays on the early modern period in the collective work Le temps des Italies, edited by Jean Boutier, Sandro Landi and Jean-Claude Waquet (2023), highlighting the overall structure of the volume. In particular, the author discusses several key issues addressed in the individual contributions, such as the redefinition of Spanish hegemony and the elites, cities and economic mobility, culture and information, diplomacy and war, and the role of the Tridentine papacy.
Il testo analizza i saggi dedicati alla prima età moderna nell’opera collettiva Le temps des Italies, a cura di Jean Boutier, Sandro Landi, Jean-Claude Waquet (2023), facendo emergere il disegno di insieme del volume. In particolare, l’autore discute alcune questioni rilevanti affrontate nei singoli contributi come la ridefizione dell’egemonia spagnola e le élites, le città e la mobilità economica, la cultura e l’informazione, la diplomazia e la guerra, il ruolo del papato tridentino. },
