Abstract
The presentation aimed to illustrate the landscape of museum organisations active at European level, to favour the encounter and foster collaboration between them and the Eunamus project.
Since the scenario at European level is quite rich and complex, a sketchy picture was drawn concentrating on the following: the Institute of Cultural Heritage of the Region Emilia Romagna, the
European Museum Forum, the European Museum Academy, NEMO the Network of European Museum Organisations and some Lifelong Learning funded projects, such as Lifelong Museum Learning
(LLML), Museums as Places for Intercultural Dialogue (MAP for ID), Volunteers for Cultural Heritage (VoCH) and The Learning Museum Network (LEM), running 2010-2013.
Margherita Sani works at the Istituto Beni Culturali of the Region Emilia-Romagna, where she is in charge of European museum projects. She is currently coordinating the Grundtvig Network Project “LEM – The Learning Museum”. She is member of ICOM, ICTOP and EMA - European Museum Academy. Since 2007 she has been on the executive board of NEMO – Network of European Museum Organisations.
